What to wear for afternoon tea (man)

Has anyone ever had sfternoon tea at browns in london? Not worried about what i'm going to wear but what about him? Does he need to wear a suit? Tie?

I would telephone and ask them. At The Ritz men must wear a tie but a sports jacket is fine. Enjoy!

chinos, smart shirt, sports jacket if you can bear it, otherwise a jumper should be fine.
