i see Waitrose has a new staff uniform

the assitatn today thinks its better than the old one.
I admired the natty ties, apprently very unpopular.

their cakes are shit
why are their cake counters so crap?

New uniform? Not noticed that yet.

But their fresh bread is pretty rubbish, too.

The only nice thing on the cake counter is those cupcakes made by someone whose name I forget. But then for £5 for six, you'd hope they'd be nice.

My MiL works in Waitrose. I'll have to ask her what she thinks of the uniform. I know she quite liked the old one.

Perhaps I should ask her why the cakes are so crap while I'm at it.

the millefeuille (?sp) on the cake counter is gorgeous, far too fattening and sickly but lovely a special treat on a saturday afternoon, sat down with a cup of tea and feet up, after spedning all morning running the children to clubs and sports.

other than that generally the quality of the meat and fresh fruit and vegetable is much higher thna other supermarkets.

also hard to fidn ingrediants can usually be found here. i mean our local one sells 3 types of sushi rice???
