Tea dress/Floaty dresses for winter. I love them, and need some new ones

I have been wearing tea dresses/chiffon dresses all summer, with bare legs/leggings for colder days etc and am going to carry on with this look throughout autumn (but layering dresses over fitted long-sleeved T, and wearing with long leggings/skinnies/shoes/UGGs)

Can anyone recommend some cheap ones? My favourite one came from ebay, is lipsy with an integrated slip, and chiffon top layer with pretty purple/orange tiny flowers (empire line, tie at back) am looking for more of the same.

Has anyone seen any? Would like them to wash well and keep their colours, budget-wise max £45.00.

Thanks
J&G

Ha ha I was just wondering about posting about tea dresse s and tunics to go over leggings but already have one thread on here (which you just helped me on!)I'll watch this one instead. Funny actually as I am not really looking for chiffon but seem to keep seeing them. Red herring had some, and Oasis.

hi used2bthin Will check out red herring and oasis (damn walked past a Oasis today and didn;t have time to go in!)

Hi Ladyface - I'ce sent you an email with some pics - would love to know what you think!

Choc x

Where are you based? There is a company called Traffic People that does floaty chiffony dresses, but they don't seem to sell through their website. They do, however, have a concession in the basement of the Oxford Street Topshop and a shop in its own right in Spitalfields, both in London. Last time I went to their Spitalfields shop they were having a sale.

Ladyface · 20/08/2009 13:22

Sorry Choc - it's been hectic lately - will go and check my email. Looking forward to seeing the pics!

The Next dress I posted a link too arrived yesterday. It was not what I was expecting. The fabric is boiled wool so it looked a bit like a fuzzy felt dress. It also has pockets on the hips so it made me look wider than I am. It has gone back to the shop!

Ladyface · 20/08/2009 13:23

I think ASOS and USC sell Traffic People.

OllieWollieWoo · 20/08/2009 20:19

Not sure if you will like this but White Stuff has posted their Autumn Collection online and have this tea like dress???:
here

Did check out TRaffic people on asos and I love this:

but with the stainy part, and the fluted sleeves, do you think I can get away with layering on long sleeved T?

ollie I really like that white stuff one, casual enough for everyday.

For £14 I think worth a go!
