maternity jeans

Hi, I'm expecting baby number two and did not get on with my pregnancy jeans from JoJoMamanBebe last time round that went over the bump (for about 5 mins after each wash, before falling down...) I'm 13.5 weeks now and need to buy some new ones as I can't walk round with my hands in my pockets to hold them up when also chasing a toddler! Can anyone suggest which type might be best? I tended to carry neatly out the front and relatively low last time round, if that's of importance. I don't really know where to start and can't afford to get it wrong again! Thanks.

I bought 3 pairs and they were all great for different reasons:

1. H&M over bump (but stayed over bump) funky boyfit jeans
2. Seraphine bootcut underbump (was uncomfortable in the later months, ended up mostly on my H&Ms!)
3. Seraphine skinny jeans. Again a little uncomfortable later, but great for post birth - looked excellent and fitted well for that inbetween period, when your body is getting back to it's old shape (I got the most wear out of them after my DD2 was born!)

I had a skinny / straight leg pair from H&M (over bump) which were brilliant. Also a pair under bump from Dorothy Perkins which were fab too. I was chasing a toddler too and they never fell down! (the jeans that is...)

Bethy what size are you? Because I still have my H&M ones and they are a size 8 or 10. I'd be happy to send them to you (I don't have a need anymore, but wanted to keep them because they were so handy, instead of throw them away)

Thanks for the very kind offer. Unfortunately I'm a 12 but I shall head to H&M just as soon as I can guarantee I won't throw up in the shop - damn morning (noon and night) sickness!!

Mamas and Papas

H&M over bump jeans were best for me.

I don't like over the bump ones, but will say that Mothercare have had a fantastic maternity wear sale on recently.

oh but be prepared for buying them about 3 sizes bigger than you are normally in H&M!!!

Top shop(underbump) ones great too, but need to buy size bigger as tiny!
