normal weekend away is camping /b&B, but i'm being treated to a VERY glamourous weekend away in Spain in a couple of weeks, in a really really posh hotel. very excited, but no idea what to buy/ pack! I mainly live in jeans and t-shirt (which i swap for a nice top for the pub)...

am bit on the chubby side at the min (size 12, 5ft4) most of the weight is around my stomach (have had a few people think I'm pg )

if it was me i would be taking a nice summery dress for night time, dinner etc

couple of nice tshirts/tunic,maybe a pair of shorts a nice pair of trousers and either a summery jacket or light cardigan,a pair of sandals for the day and a dressy pair of shoes/sandals for night.

and if you want to swim a swimsuit, bikini etc

and some lovely underwear pjs.

One dress, 2 skirts and 4 tops, and then either some linen trousers or a kaftan depending on whether you are going to be sightseeing/shopping or lounging by a pool/on the beach. (Or both if you are doing both!)

Smart handbag and sandals - one of each. It's very safe but tan leather goes with everything! And then a nice pair of shoes/sandals for evening as jenk said.

I would probably take one or two pieces of jewellery - a necklace and maybe a bangle that will go with all your clothes and then you should be covered for everything!

It sounds lovely - have a fabulous time!

ooh don't be too , its a total one off, i'm sure it will be back to time warp b&b's after this! very excited though

these are good suggestions, I can see linen trousers being great and a summer dress is a great idea, I can see that being really useful. I'm thinking maybe one that will work for day to evening, want to look smart but not too dressy (as a jeansy / topshoppy kind of person normally), but that will look appropriate in an uber glam hotel, on a tight budget for clothes shopping, any suggestions what kind to look for? (no idea what kind of dress people will wear, this is so totally outside my normal studenty comfort zone!!)
