watches with interset
I use a minearl one its ok but would lik more coverage without looking cakey

Maybelline Liquid Mineral foundation is really nice, not cakey and gives good coverage, and I mix mine with Olay Normal/Oily skin moisturiser for sensitive skin as I'm so pale even the palest foundation looks a bit dark! I think the mineral ones are good for not blocking pores and making spots etc. Dont need to use powder with this foundation either which is good.

I use a Molton Brown one, it's a mousse rather than a liquid. Lovely coverage and very light so no greasiness. My skin is drier now than it used to be and I still use this foundation, but I have used it for about 3/4 years when my skin was much more oily before I had DS.

Bare Minerals

Why not Estee Lauder?

I would go to a Clinique or Chanel counter and see what they recommend.

Clinique superfit is great and not too greasy. Anyone got greasy hair? If so what shampoo do you use? Sorry to hyjack!

MissisBoot · 09/08/2009 18:47

Any of the bobbi brown oil free ones - they do different ones for more or less coverage depending on what you wear.

I have greasy hair and I don't use shampoo. I use an old squeezy ketchup bottle like this fill it up with water and add 3 tablespoons of baking powder and give it a good shake. Each time I wash my hair I use about half of that amount. You do have to rinse it out very thoroughly though. Gradually you find you can go longer and longer between washes (I can now go 5 or 6 days). When I first started doing it I used dry shampoo inbetween washes but now I don't need to. I last washed my hair Thursday and it's still not greasy.

Can recommend the Chanel one, a bit more expensive about £23 I think but very good.

nappyaddict · 10/08/2009 16:53

Which Chanel one?

Pollyanna · 10/08/2009 16:58

I use laura mercier tinted foundation.

I found the chanel vitelumiere one made my face really shiny.

The baking powder tip is interesting - I may try that - I have to wash my hair everyday.
