Buying new birkies or birkie look-a-like

Ok. I want to buy some nice new birkies or similar for an upcoming trip to the UK. They cost a flipping fortune here in NZ, so would I be better to wait and get them in Blighty and where should i get them from? I am particularly enamoured of the idea of metallic ones or else ones with a print. Oh, and they have to have covered toes as my toes are revolting.

This place is fab. Delivery to UK took about 5 days last time I ordered. Looks like they do ship worldwide or maybe you could get them delivered to where you'll be staying over here?
