Anyone know of a good eyebrow threader in Manchester

My lovely eyebrow threader's salon in Old Trafford has closed down and I'm missing her.
I did find another lady on Gumtree but ended up very lopsided so won't be going back to her.
Can anyone recommend someone to shape my bushy brows? (preferably in south Manchester)
TIA

There's a Benito bar in the Trafford Centre. I've been to the one in Liverpool and they were fine.

Isn't threading great

Thanks Pixie, I'll give them a try. yes threading is great, my previous threader referred to it as an instant face lift

I had a good thread (?) in Selfridges in Trafford Centre..

redinthehead · 03/08/2009 21:27

I had mine down at a place called Adore in Didsbury, first time I have had them threaded, will definately go back.

I use benito bar in selfridges. Get my brows threaded and colours.
Fab imo.

BTW, debenhams in TC also do threading and have used them before...good results.

Thanks all, looks like a trip to the evil Triffid Centre is called for.

what is this eyebrow threading? Is it like plucking? Do I need it?

pixiemoon · 06/08/2009 06:57

cornsilk yes you need it lol!!!

Basically they use a length of cotton thread twisted to remove the hairs, I always used to get mine waxed but now much prefer threading as I don't get that bright red skinned look for hours afterards. It used to be that you had to find someone who could do it - it was usually only at asian salons, but now there's these walk-in eyebrow bars popping up in shopping centres that are fab.

Righto thanks pixie. So there's somewhere in the traford centre called bonito's you say....?

DuffyMoon · 06/08/2009 17:39

Benito's....its in Selfridges they have a website. You get a card which is stamped each time and after so many you get a free "thread"

AmeliaMum · 06/08/2009 23:28

How much do you pay to be done, as it were?

shhhh · 08/08/2009 17:19

At benitos I pay £20 and have my brows threaded and coloured....

expensive compared to other salons BUT its convenient for me and I love the end result hth x

Reporting back with beautifully groomed brows
Found a lovely lady in Sale who does beauty treatments and threading at home (hers not mine).
£10, neat eyebrows and a trip to the Triffid Centre (which I don't enjoy, to put it mildly) avoided.
Mustn't leave it so long next time (I always say that!)

Any more good reviews for Benito at Selfridges Trafford Centre? I'd like a tint and shape. Did notice Benefit have a brow bar in Boots now. Wondering which brow bar to use Grin
