You'll look lovely and colour blind bright.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 01/08/2009 19:48

Very much so, surely.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 01/08/2009 19:49

That was my answer to your title by the way, not my answer to "Will I look like an extra from rainbow".

janeite · 01/08/2009 19:50

I think redheads can look lovely in purple - but not sure about turquoise skirt as well.

allaboutme · 01/08/2009 19:58

i am wearing purple today (am redhead) and look lovely

Parmageddon · 01/08/2009 20:08

I wear a lot of purple and am a redhead too. But would generally wear with something not very bright. But that's just me (boring!)

ZZZenAgain · 01/08/2009 20:11

it's not a very loud purple though , is it? I have a friend who is a redhead (well light gold-red) and she wears a lot of cornflower blue which is blue with some purple mixed in it IYSWIM. It suits her, she has blue eyes.

Think it might depend on your shade of red too.

Think with a turquoise skirt, I might have gone for a turquoise top, even a different shade but the whole thing tone-in-tone.

Its not bright turqouise all over, its got a oval/circle pattern on it which are dark on a much paler background.
Dont think that helps really.

Ive never worn purple before but am sick of greens/browns etc and wanted something a bit brighter.

I love the cardi, think it will look great with red hair, but not sure about the turquoise skirt combo tbh.

raspberrytart · 01/08/2009 20:33

Hair is auburn, just used caca marron to hide grey brighten

Only if you like to clash with your clothes.

SilentBob · 01/08/2009 23:11

I am and I do.

Wolfgirl · 01/08/2009 23:14

Im a red head, and no.... doenst suit me a bit. Lilac and lighter purple shades, yes. But not the rich deep purple. Shame cos I love it to bits.

BellaNoir · 01/08/2009 23:20

Yes. And military or ocean grey with deep purple and red hair.
Latest outfit - deep purple top, mustard yellow swing jacket and steel grey trousers. With dark red hair.
Next colour combos to be added rust orange and chartreuse...

raspberrytart · 02/08/2009 21:00

cheers all, wtf's chartreuse

It's a sort of yellowey-green. Quite intense, looks good with greys, purples, some browns.
It's exactly half way between yellow and green, according to wikipedia

it's a love/hate colour tho'
