I am 5 10 and don't realy want to tower over DH who is 5 9 at a wedding next weekend but equally don't want to wear flip flops (again)

I have this dress here

and I wonder what colour or style shoes you think would go with it?

Ooh, they're nice but £100 out of my league!

You married a man. You didn't commit to never wearing heels again.

You do need something of a heel with that frock. Anything neutral and sandally would be fine.

I think I may well have signed something that says "I will not look like a twat towering over my hubby" but the idea of wearing heels after 7 years of flopflopness is very exciting

Bargain!

I don't think you need heels- I agree that they do look amazing and I wear them at any opportunity, but I am also tall and sometimes I want to blend in, rather than teeter over everyone! (Only sometimes, other times I pop on the 5 inch heels and teeter to my heart's content! ) Posh ballet flats or silver flat sandals would be fine IMO

Oops, stuffed up DP link.

Try this

RubyBlueberry · 02/08/2009 12:27

Well I tried those DP flat ones on but unfortunately I looked like a stork, any ideas for some with a bit of a heel?
