Since I had my dyed brown it looks crap, any advice?

I have v long highlighted hair and was sick of going to hairdressers to get roots done so took the plunge and had it dyed dark.

Now a year on it still looks shite, no shine, dull and no reflection of light, looks like a hank of wool.

Should I go and get blonde / honey highlights put in to give it some shine? My hair obviously does not like being brown! I treat it the same as I did when blonde, but then it was glossy and bouncy, just like Samantha Janus's hair and now I feel like Janine!

its the blonde that has caused the damage, use a semi in a nice warm brown to add some shine and life to your hair

I just dont understand why it was really glossy before I went dark, now it's not!

I understand that the blonde caused the damage in the first place but it seems to me that the brown is to blame hairdresser icon.

I think I'm asking for permission to be blonde again

I use the John Freida stuff on my hair, it's fab!

Me too- that's all I ever used when blonde, now I'm using the sheer brunette and it is pants pants pants.
I think I need a glass of wine to mull over all things trichology (sp!)

Dye it purple.

I did this once (many moons ago, pre-children) but had to wash it out because my Mum stopped talking to me........

Purple? I was bottle green once... due to having dyed it then hennaed it. Bad move that was!! had to wash it with Daz!
