What do you think of this dress - too frilly?

Here. It's just been delivered - quite flattering, fits well, just seems a bit polyester and frilly. What do you reckon?

It is a bit frilly - I can't imagine when I would wear it tbh! Also, in the photo, the material looks a bit cheap and nasty - is it like that IRL or is it a bad photo?

janeite · 30/07/2009 16:30

The photo is so bad that I can hardly see what it looks like but tbh Next stuff usually does look quite 'cheap'.

Hassled · 30/07/2009 16:31

Yes, it does feel a bit cheap and nasty. I wanted a sort of smart but not too smart dress, and thought this might be it. Think I was wrong.

I would send it back. I feel that there must be better things available for £40.

browntrout · 30/07/2009 19:34

I like it. Think it looks quite nice for Next as normally I'm not keen

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 30/07/2009 19:48

Not keen on that Next one. Have you seen these Boden dresses? I reckon all of them are smart but not too smart and should last a few years:

Henley knitted dress

Or:
Merino purple

Or:
Purple shirt dress

I do like that Henley one - and not too Bodeny, either.

Thanks all
