Is there some special knack to it? I don't usually have trouble opening things... (bangs head on wall in frustration)

No, no special knack. Try throwing it at the floor........

pania · 30/07/2009 13:47

Really, does everyone have this problem?
I did manage to force it open the other day and it exploded in a great shower of foot dandruff.

It is a design fault I think.I ease in end of tweezers.
It's bloody fantastic though.

Thelongroadhome · 30/07/2009 17:50

Oh I'm glad other people have this problem - I thought it was just me. Last time I tried I ended up with all the dust stuff all over the floor!

CherryandWhite · 30/07/2009 17:52

Is it a good product? Would you recommend one? I have picked one up to buy and put it back so many times!

SixtyFootDoll · 30/07/2009 17:57

I had to use a butter knife to prise it open
Not great design butgood product

You dont want to know. I feel nauseous just thinking about them. Just think parmesan of the foot.

LynetteScavo · 30/07/2009 18:11

It's a cheese grater for your feet, Riven. Teh outside is shaped like an egg, hence the name.

I know Riven, it is disgusting. But also very effective.

Yes it is a tad tricky to open. Once you've cracked it though, don't ever push it completely shut or you'll have the same problem again.

I LOVE MY PED EGG. I am happy to show off my feet now. Everyone is thrilled.

pania · 30/07/2009 19:00

Think I will open mine outside on the lawn in future.

Here's a tip, don't open it out of your loft window on a windy day.

wrinklytum · 30/07/2009 20:05

Oh I'm glad it isn't just me,I had a frustrating few minites involving ped egg and some nail scissors earlier, and a foot shavings explosion all over my freshly mopped bathroom floor grrr.

SixtyFootDoll · 02/08/2009 20:14

I did at one point try to open it with my teeth, but then realised I could end up with a mouthful of grated parmesan!
