Longchamps shoppers..anyone?

anyone owned a Longchamps shopper- think they are called Pliage or similar- made of nylon with a leather flap and handles. Did you lie it? are they still fashionable? Need a large, LIGHTWEIGHT bag for day trips to carry bottle water, umbrealla etc etc.

I have emailed you back

CybilLiberty · 29/07/2009 09:22

Oh I don't like them. My posh friend has one though.

LynetteScavo · 29/07/2009 09:28

I had one about 15 years ago.

A firend asked me why I "Always carried that horrible bag around."

She said it wasn't fashionable in London. Where we were at the time.

Kind of put me off them.

This thead has made me want one again.

That's okay.
Let me know if anyone else wants it.

Nezzi · 29/07/2009 19:51

jolie I would love your bag if you're still happy to sell it?
Is it this one?

joliejolie · 29/07/2009 20:01

Yes it is the large size in dark brown with the long handle. Email me at the address further back in this thread.

BobtheWoodmouse · 29/07/2009 20:15

Frites - I used the wool or hand wash cycle and a bit of liquid 'handwash' that's designed for washing machines. I was a bit scared about the leather handles but they dried fine. I had it in mind to rub a bit of leather conditioner on the handles afterwards but they didn't need it.

I got the confidence to try it from the purseforum.com blog - there was a woman there who washed her white pliage and showed pics, gave instructions etc. It might be worth you doing a search on that forum to find the thread.

It's worth trying if your is so dirty you're not even using it - it might be worth attacking the grubby bits with some vanish stick before washing.

(please don't shout at me if your bag dissolves )

Nezzi · 29/07/2009 22:25

jolie I've e-mailed you

joliejolie · 30/07/2009 10:55

Nezzi · 31/07/2009 21:49

Thanks jolie!
