BODEN PREVIEW- ypur opinion of dresses....

mrsmerryweather · 23/07/2009 12:49

Has anyone got anything positive to say about these dresses?
I usually delay, dither, miss the offers and then wish....

I don't want the double layer jersey as I have a Jigsaw one identical and don't like it , and I also have a Boden knitted dress that's still going strong.

Was looking at the merino dress ( plain colours) and wondering...

is there any thing there that ISN'T frumpy and would suit a 45+ person who wants to still look fashionable-ish?

Is there is linky?

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 23/07/2009 13:20

I don't like any of them.

cornsillk · 23/07/2009 13:24

link please - Boden isn't letting me on at the moment.

cornsillk · 23/07/2009 13:25

I sent the double layer jersey dress back - I thought it was poor quality.

JackieNo · 23/07/2009 13:28

Would the sixties knitted dress work if you are not Twiggy?

cornsillk · 23/07/2009 13:44

The blue merino one is lovely.

Oh there's another double layer jersey dress - don't like. (I was talking about the sale one before)

cornsillk · 23/07/2009 13:48

That hotchpotch dress is hideous.

claricebeansmum · 23/07/2009 13:50

Also, are these knitted dresses in anyway....itchy? Am a tad sensitive...

cornsillk · 23/07/2009 13:55

Yes I find knitted things itchy as well.

mrsmerryweather · 23/07/2009 14:33

I am very sensitive but I do have a wool dress from a couple of years back and it's fine - not itchy at all. Having said that, I do wear my vest ( of course) and a slip under it...but no, it's soft.

The white company wool stuff is lovely and so non-itchy. Not sure yet about Boden.

SausageRocket · 23/07/2009 15:24

I love the colourblock shift and the flattering knitted dress.

I like the Henley dress too BUT it needs to be slightly shorter and more fitted.

Merino dress is dull but I much prefer it in the plains. The patterns are rank.

BodenGroupie · 24/07/2009 09:09

Will let you know - I ordered rather too many and they should be here today.

mrsmerryweather · 24/07/2009 10:20

I have the summer colour block shift and the wnter one is the same except it has sleeves.

It's lovely, but quite formal and have to admit I have not worn it yet...was too dressy for hols overseas, even as evening wear (??) so hoping I can wear it with a cardi in the autumn/winter.
