Safe to colour hair?

Does anyone know if its completely safe to colour your hair during pregnancy? My greys are starting to show and the colour has faded straw.

I googled it when I was pregnant and the answer seemed to be that nobody really knows how safe or unsafe it is.

I used Henna for the first trimester and then did use semi-permanent dye later in the pregnancy. I read online that highlights are possibly the safer option because the dye doesn't lie on the skin.

I would suggest doing what I did - read up about it and then you can decide for yourself.
