After a slight mishap at the weekend I have been forced decided to update my make up bag, I only have a budget of £25 for everything as am a bit skint and it is the last thing I should be buying but a girls got to have some make up surely

So I need your recommendations for cheapish products that are effective and also any tips on how to make it last longer or make more use out of my stuff would be great!

I'm useless at all of this stuff tend to just stick with colours I think are pretty rather than what suits me but now I'm almost 23 I should really have grown out of that

I have light brown hair and piercing blue eyes if that helps anyone. Thanks

Have a look at the elf website Good value and decent stuff ime. I've no advice on colours really - I've been wearing pretty much the same stuff for the last 15 years [stuck in a time warp emoticon]

ebay does cheaper makeup of the big brands.

L'oreal do a great colour palette that matches your eye colour (even says For blue eyes) and its about £6

I'd rather buy from a shop because I ahve quite sensitive skin so need to be able to test.

Will defo look into L'oreal palette.

Miss Sixty mascara - 2.99 and it's as good as any of the expensive ones.

Bourjois - (is a Chanel company so quality seems good but cheaper). I particularly like their eye shadows, blushers etc. I think they do foundation too but not sure. And I see their lip glosses highly recommended, although have no personal experience of them.

I have light brown hair and blue eyes and I wear very little eye shadow on a daily basis - I find a swipe of mascara and perhaps a small amount of a whitish eye shadow just on the top lid is sufficient. I use a couple of mid browns with a hint of pink otherwise and very occassionally a bit of green.

Boots No7 is on 3 for 2 at the moment. I really like their stuff. You could get foundation, powder, mascara, lippy and an eye shadow and pencil for about £25 I reckon.

A lot of magazines have mascaras and lig glosses on as freebies ATM, I got a benefit mascara, think it was with glamour magazine for £2.

Boots a good idea as they always have points offers on, 3 for 2, or sometimes something free if you spend a certain amount.

Go to clinique, elizabeth arden, etc counter and ask if they have any samples of make up you can try on your sensitive skin.

BArry M , collection 2000 and rimmel are decent brands at reasonable prices and often have BOGOF and buy 2 get one free

TK MAXX were doing 10 pieces of Rimmel make-up in a pack for £8, you can't choose the colours but from what I saw they seemed pretty normal, cream/brown eyeshadow, black mascara and nude lip gloss. I was going to buy it myself but got side tracked by shoes and forgot to pick it up!
