If you have blue eyes would you wear brown/beiges as eyeshadow?

I am so crap with this and never know what colours to wear. If I am going out I usually use a brown/beige combo with black mascara but always feel like my eye make up is crap!

I have tried greyish colours with black to do the smokey eyes thing and i end up looking like a barbie doll.

So what colour would you wear - dark brown hair and blue eyes?

brown and creams can bring out the blue

i have blue and can wear pretty much any colour

I wish i had time to go to a make up counter on the day and just ask them to do it all for me!

I would like to try a green but think that i will go for a goldy colour for Friday night.

A couple of you have said pinks/purples, I am surprised at that because I think they look awful on me

Benefit does a lovely gleamy beige/gold cream eyeshadow, that doesn't crease.

I only ever wear beigey gold on my blue eyes. it makes them 'pop' as the make up artists say. I use grey kohl, softer than black.

With the eyeliner thing, have a look at the gel eyeliners that you apply with a little brush (MAC, Bobbi Brown, I think Clinique do one now and I'm sure I saw some cheapo versions in Superdrug). Sounds fiddly but it's actually really easy and they don't budge at all. I've got a Bobbi Brown shade called Black Plum or something which is really a dark purlply brown. V flattering on blue eyes IMO. Much more subtle than black.
