This does seem to be flavour of the week...

I am off to have full leg & bikini next weekend after having to cancel a few weeks ago, then didn;t seem worth doing until just before we go on holiday.

Anyway I've let things grow further than they've ever grown before ... am going to trim bikini a bit before I go to the salon but I can't trim leg hair...is it going to REALLY hurt becuase they are so long?

I'm scared!!

Nope. It's the hair being ripped from the follicle that causes the pain. IME the length of the hair had little effect on that. The pain is also related to how delicate the skin is in the area being waxed - e.g., the bikini area is more delicate than leg skin. A good tech, of course, realises this and ajusts wax and technique accordingly.

wise words expat!

if you find a good tech, vic, treat her like a prized possession. there's a reason why you pay less for a trainee to wax 'ya. youch!

My top tip is to take nurofen half an hour before the appointment.
