Lanacane chafing gel as a primer?

Ive seen a lot of reviews on the net about using chafing gel on your face as a primer, does anyone do it?

Well, it works amazingly as anti-chafing gel......!

Um, well, I put it on half my face, and nothing. Then I put it on all my face, and.. um..well..my skin felt a bit smoother and stuff and sort of soft and 'slippy' but then I coujldn't find my makeup [slattern] so I gave up.

Would it stop stubble burn though
