Hair clips - yes or no?

Hello style gurus...
I've had a side fringe (a longish one) cut into my hair (just under chin length). Are hairslides to hold it back on occasion quite cool, or just not?
if yes, where would I find some cool ones?

I have that hairstyle and I love clips and slides.you can get some lovely vintage ones and they give your hair a whole new look
