Where to get a nice "back to work" wardrobe?

I have been off work for a while but will soon be returning. I need some new clothes, as my old workwear is out of date and too small! I want to look smart but not boring - my office is not mega formal but not really casual either. Any ideas?

How about mixing up different brands like French Connection, Ted Baker as well as Topshop/oasis/warehouse.

And how about investing in a totally gorgeos leather jacket? All Saints have some, as do oasis.
