This has been done to death I'm sure, but I haven't bought any baby stuff before and want to get a coat from the preview site.

I have a ds, born in feb this year. He's a biggish chap, was wondering if I should get 6-12 months or 12-18 months, for the winter (live abroad, it's cold from Dec to March, so when he's around 12 months). ANy advice appreciated.

They come up small IME.

I think the sizing is a bit on the small size so I'd go for the bigger one.

Boden sizing a bit hit and miss to be honest.
DS3 (nearly 2 and average build) is wearing a fleece lined jacket in 18-24 with a little room to grow - so that would indicate true to size but he also has a towelling hoody in the same size that is far too big....

I have found the 'boys' section 18-24 months is larger than the 'baby' section 18-24 months

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll go bigger.

Boden sizing def hit and miss.

Only have a couple of baby bits, but ime they come up small (eg dd2 has grown out of her 12-18 month dungarees - they are too short (she's 2.4, but tiny) but still wears 12-18 months trousers (and they are too big) in virtually all other makes)

agree the smaller childrens items come up bigger than the baby ones (although I still think it comes up small, dd1 wears 6-7 in t shirts now - she is tall, but not abnormally so- she is 4!)
