So, at 5'4", I take it I'm too short for a Maxi dress?

I wear them and I am 5ft1..I am small (size 8) but curvy and busty. I think I look good

Buddleja · 01/07/2009 22:46

I'm 5' 3" and wear one and have been told I look good in it my my MIL who really really won't say that if I didn't

Try one on and bring a friend who will be honest (and you won't slap if she is!!)

bishboschone · 02/07/2009 20:08

i think the key is to get one that isnt too puffy!

fishie · 02/07/2009 20:38

the point of them is to make one look elegant and elongated. solid proportioned people will always look like they are wearing a duvet cover.

got to be dainty if short. if you look good in a vest top then there is hope.

I might have a chance to go into town today, so I'll try one one and report back. I'm guessing it's going to be a big fat no, but you never know...

I'm 5' 2 1/2" and curvy. A bit too curvy atm. I have one, just for occasional going out and I look good in it. I think it depends on the shape and pattern.

vacaloca · 03/07/2009 10:35

After all this, I don't really know where to find one, anyway. I've seen some in Monsoon. Anywhere else?

I have one on at the moment and am 5 foot 4. And I look lovely

I'm quite fat atm and I look good in a maxi dress. Guarenteed mummy tummy coverage. I think they are great- if you like them get one.
