Summer trousers - what looks good?

Ok - I have a babysitter coming tomorrow afternoon, and I am going into town to sort out my summer wardrobe.

I am in an 'every day hot weather trouser' quandary, and am looking for advice & inspiration.

Essential stats:
Size 16
5'6"
Bit of a tummy
big thighs
Like to wear black
Like to buy nice quality

I have recently lost quite a bit of weight, and my wardrobe is bare. I own one pair of cropped trousers, which my (charming) DH suggests make me look fat and dumpy, and a pair of black linen wide leg trousers, which are threadbare between my thighs, and have an unhappy tendency to lose shape and balloon around my middle.

Has anyone any great ideas? I would be very grateful.

cotton from M&S but I've ditched the waist-tie

Linen always goes baggy ime so go for linen mix or cotton

Linen mix trousers from Next. They also do them in a crop length.
