If you happen to be a manufacturer of trousers aimed at those of us over 40, please may I ask that ....

elasticated waists
extremely high waists
extremely low waists
any extra bulk around middle ie pockets (>hy do I need five pockets fgs or even one pocket come to think of it? I have three perfectly good handbags thank you very much.)
pockets half way down the leg
bandana type belts

please could they be:

lined
well cut
long enough
machine washable
produced in wearable plain colours with no studs or twiddly floral embellishments

I tried some trousers on today in the John Lewis sale - I can recommend:

Planet - nice slinky black trousers for work - very fluid lines - in the sale for £39

Jaegar - have a pair of really nice lined black wide legged linen trousers - half price at £80

Not Your Daughters Jeans - no bargain at £120, but looked very nice on. They claim to lift your bottom and flatten the tummy.

OOOhhh thank you YearoftheCat ... travelling to UK soon so have noted those names for my shopping list!!
