Baptism - what to wear?

I am carrying the candle at a baptism in a week's time (I thought I had more time) and don't know what to wear.

I thought I'd wear the kind of outift I'd wear to a chrsitening but the dc in question is having her birthday party straight afterwards and I've seen the mum's outfit which is very pretty but not so formal.

I am not religious so don't know what is appropriate.

I'd go for something like a wedding outfit but no hat.
Think "Sunday Best" you won't go far wrong.
