I have recently gone from blonde to Red. I went to hairdresser fot this. She used the Schwarzkopf live mixed with Clairol base brown. I love it,however Red does fade quick, and I don't get much time to go to salon,so I tried the Live Red Passion one last week. Really vibrant result. Will use it again inbetween salon visits.
Can show you a picture if you want.

i have never had a dye run clear, ever, my very short haired mum says it so easy, yes she has very thick hair, but then so do i and it always look like its running clear, and then i end up with 400 hunded pink baths.

IT IS REALLY JUST IMPOSSIBLE

Lulumama · 28/06/2009 20:54

pic would be good!

i always have a bit of residue runnibng off my hair for maybe 2 - 3 washes, have fine hair, past my shoulders. i rinse for ages though after dyeing it

Lulumama · 28/06/2009 20:57

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/06/2009 21:12

sorry no idea then. I am useless with this kind of thing.

Lulumama · 30/06/2009 13:21

thanks for trying !!

i have just had a chat to someone very nice from Daniel Field and ordered the watercolour tint in mahogany. it has no peroxide or ammonia so hopefully will be much better for my hair than anything with those things in.

thanks to fishie for the recommendation

thank you everyone for your advice

lulu i have wondered how you got on. i've gone to shade 6.44 rosewood, it isn't quite as purply but lighter which was good for summer.

Lulumama · 08/10/2009 19:59

oooh hello! i used the colour and it was lovely.... left my hair lovely and glossy and i would definitely use it again and the customer services was fantastic!!

have actually had my hair done at the hairdressers last week as it is my brother;s wedding soon so wanted a proper do, but am definitely going to use this colour again between visits to the hairdresser

i was really impressed!

thanks for asking xx

is the rosewood quite red?

OP posts:
fishie · 08/10/2009 20:03

yes not bad. the longer i leave it on the darker it gets but the longer it lasts. that's an hour-ish, nothing else happens if left longer. (sorry so many longers, is there a prize for overusage of word?)

grumpypants · 08/10/2009 20:03

Ohhhh how exciting, my friend is ex hairdresser and just did me live xxl bitter sweet chocolate and i have had soooooo many 'you look fab' comments - she also did my fringe with kitchen scissors and i love my colour.
