I am giving up on my original choice of shoes (sold out, sob) and dress and moving on to thinking of buying shoes first and finding a dress to go with it... is that a good idea?

What do you think?

What about this lilac and brown dress I bought this in the sale recently and it is really nice.

This is lovely on - has a kind of 40's vibe and would look fab with those shoes. Also perfect for ceilidh dancing without worrying about falling out of your dress!

thank you everyone, I have shown my Mother the shoes from frockonline and she really thinks I should get ones to match the spotty dress..... nearly convinced lol.
