adult beanie cap to cover bald head due to chemo hair loss

My friend has lost her hair due to chemo and does not want to wear her wig, scarf options all the time. She'd really like a cotton beanie hat that she can just pull on if she needs to pop out but it needs to be cotton (summer allegedly on it's way). Anyone come across anything that might be suitable?

On a slight tangent, a mum at our school has gone for a tanned bald head look, which she wears with these film star type shades - she looks fabulous.

Sorry I can't help with beanie advice. I'll ask around - we have a lot of mums undergoing chemo at the moment.

Cotton beanies like the ones already linked to can be made very easily. Do you know anyone that can knit or crochet? If not try a local yarn shop. They should know someone who can make one for you. The yarn would only be about £3-£4 and the hat could be made up in an evening.

Thank you all so much for your suggestions. I can knit (not crochet though) so going to investigate that route. Will definitely tell her about American Apparel too. Thank you!
