The patent jacket is utterly revolting

I will be getting the Flattering Knitted dress. I got so much wear out of last years version. Possibly the grey henley dress too depending on length. Looks a bit long to me.

Like the look of the straight leg velvet jeans too and the yellow henley tunic .

The shoes are utterly uninspiring

FigmentOfYourImagination · 19/06/2009 16:30

i like the colourblock shift too.

treedelivery · 19/06/2009 16:39

It's soooo expensive!

HaventSleptForAYear · 19/06/2009 16:40

Who are we supposed to believe wrote the copy?

It sounds very Nigella Lawson to me.

"I always feel terribly flattered when a friend invites me to their home for dinner. This is the sort of dress that shows you?ve given the evening just enough thought."

Don't suppose they'd use her as a model though?

Sazisi · 19/06/2009 17:04

Spot-on Haventslept - very Nigella.

Perhaps they should use her for the more middle-aged stuff; it does look a bit incongruous on all these giggling 20somethings..

Is it me or have the prices leapt up???
I quite like this for DD2 but £36?!!! ...are you fucking sure Johnnie?

stressed2007 · 19/06/2009 17:09

It does all seem to be getting awfully expensive

DontCallMeBaby · 19/06/2009 17:33

They'd never use Nigella as a model as it'd show up the fact that their tops are designed for short-torsoed persons with no norks.

tattycoram · 19/06/2009 17:37

God that patent jacket really is awful isn't it and £250 for an overnight bag that looks as if it's from Accessorise. Ridiculous

treedelivery · 19/06/2009 17:45

How can that bag ne £250? Is it leather? Am loating the patent green jacket, am imagining that on me in an 18. Oh my eyes!

treedelivery · 19/06/2009 17:46

Loathing. Tut

ReallyReally · 19/06/2009 18:01

this drew so much attention to her wobbly stomach that she has to continually carry a cake

PutDown · 19/06/2009 18:02

I like the velvet coat and the marvellous merino knitted dress.
will order purple in the coat and teal in the dress I think. No nice cardigans this year, and I already have tweedy trousers and velvet ones.

karalathecamel · 19/06/2009 18:10

I like the velvet coat too but I think it's going to be a disappointment - zooming in it looks a bit crumpled - and not in a good way. More of a jumble sale sort of way.

barbarapym · 19/06/2009 18:22

Given up on Boden. Too bloody expensive for the kids and I always end up sending the stuff for me back. Very odd shapes imo - the skirts are always horrid on. Won't be buying any this year. (Got a lovely cardigan from Sainsburys for dd that was just like the ruffle cardigan in the miniboden summer catalogue - apart from being £25 cheaper...)

helips · 19/06/2009 18:52

Normally I get really excited by there new ranges, although I only ever buy for ds not myself. This new Autumn range does not impress me though, very same old same old....

Aelfwyn · 19/06/2009 18:57

Think I'd like Boden a lot more if only they'd stop saying FUN. Enough with the FUN Johnny! BORING!!!!! However am quite tempted by the really quite nice merino dress for those impromptu fun weekends in large fun country houses with my lovely fun friends and their giant lolly pops(snort)...

mslucy · 19/06/2009 19:44

kids clothes are ace but way too £££
DS2 has loads of lovely min boden tops - from ebay.
Had a look on their site thinking ..."ooh maybe I'll treat him to something new".
Then I saw that the baby t-shirts cost £14 a pop (as opposed to 3 quid off ebay.

The adults' stuff is way too grown up for me - I'm the queen of mean and put together my own bizarre costumes from charity shops, New Look and Pikey peacocks.

I think Boden's a bit "square" - which is a ridiculous thing to say when you're nearly 39

callalilies · 19/06/2009 20:15

Oh dear I seem to have accidentally spent £225...

Oh well, 20% off plus free delivery certainly helps ease the pain!

BodenGroupie · 19/06/2009 20:37

Nice jackets and coats, like the Jack Wills lookie likee shirt - but £45??? Think I'm going to have to change my name

YesSirICanBoogie · 19/06/2009 21:29

Do they charge your crad when you order or when they dispatch? I need the 7 weeks to talk DH into all the over priced kids' stuff I want to order lol!

Katisha · 19/06/2009 21:33

Oh FFS I see the models are all killing themselves with helpless laughter still.

Makes me so irritated.

Katisha · 19/06/2009 21:35

What a great picture for modelling a dress FFS
