Comfortable shoes (wedges?), linen or other lightweight fabric. It's not dressy like Ascot or something. More like what you'd wear to a friend's summer party.

And a hat.

FrontRowFig · 17/06/2009 18:38

i dont wnat to look like the prawns you see on tv sweltering..

Hat and sunglacks.Factor 25
School-run type dress. Ooh the Wallis one will be perfect!

FrontRowFig · 17/06/2009 18:40

Lol
i also noticed that KEW on their site has " school run" ( or did at the w/e) as a clothing type

OP posts:
FrontRowFig · 17/06/2009 18:40

oh yes look

I think they have spies on here

OP posts:
squeaver · 17/06/2009 18:41

Hence the hat. One of those little battery fans can be useful.

Yes sleeves are a must.

On reflection, linen will probably crease too much but you don't want anything tight-fitting or man-made.

FrontRowFig · 17/06/2009 18:41

Right I need a hat then

Yes hat with brow but not so big that you won't see the actual tennis.

FrontRowFig · 17/06/2009 18:42

I suit a baseball cap type of thing
nto a floppy " drippy mum" type.

FrontRowFig · 17/06/2009 18:48

I wore a pink jumper dress with metallic silver stripes...mind you it was 1982...

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 17/06/2009 22:35

last year I wore a Marc Jacobs tea dress with wedges. The year before, white linen trousers & bright coloured tunic top with flip flops.

hoxtonchick · 17/06/2009 22:40

i tried that kew school run dress on, it was horrid. droopy.

Merrylegs · 17/06/2009 22:42

Ah, DS also has those player tickets, FRF. Don't know about you (flicky hair, oversized sunglasses, something in linen should cover it). BUT if DS has LTA county sweatshirt or some such he should wear it. Will get fond smiles, admiring looks and kudos in the playtennis zone.

Tommy · 17/06/2009 22:45

oh dear - I wore shorts and a vest top when I went (although a very long time ago) - maybe that's why I wasn't invited back...

FrontRowFig · 18/06/2009 15:36

OP posts:
FrontRowFig · 18/06/2009 15:37
