I walked to town and back today in my short-haul birkies. My feet were already a little tender as long-haul birkies and feet got soaked through yesterday in the downpour.

The whole mid part of my soles are very sore and each foot has a blister on the sole.

What can I do?

I owuld say not wear them, heal then wear them in the house for 2 weeks to wear them in. I got mine yesterday and started the wear in today at work, light use till they are bedded in. I must say they did feel nice and comfy. What type you got

the special blister plasters you can get are great, if it is to painful to walk, they are quite padded which is nice, when i had blisters on the side ish sole i wore my croc's that was very comfy and didn't rub it

They are white Gizeh, but I've had them a year!
I wonder if the strap is too loose.
I also have some old brown Arizonas and a pair of bright orange Arizonas. I love Birkenstocks.

I'll have a look at blister plasters.

I thought the song reference was actually Paul Simon's "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes", non??

Anyway.....back to question........ I would try either Compeed plasters (which are fab) or the gel plasters which I believe Elastoplast make (they are mahoosive oval shape and excellent for blisters).

If the strap is too loose then quite possibly cause of the blister. Wear them around the house for short periods.

Yes, I thought I was paraphrasing the Paul Simon, not directly quoting the Phil Collins, but never mind!
