I am going to an 80s party at the weekend. I think I have an outfit sorted but need help with the makeup. Usually wear neutral makeup but do have a turquoise eyeshadow and could probably find a pink lipstick. don't want to spend lots of money on new stuff that will never wear so how do i do my make up? what was it like in the 80s? thanks

As I remember, blue eyeshadow and blue eyeliner should do it

petitmaman · 09/06/2009 20:41

Blue eyeshadow is 70's. You need pink or orange for the 80's. Lurid fuchsia pink lipstick as well.

frosted pink lippy, side ponytail... actually, just look at any current fashion mag - it's all coming back

Yes side ponytail, blue eye shadow, pale pink lipstick. Bright pink blusher. Maybe blue eye liner and mascarra.
Make sure you make the eye shadow come out really far at the sides . My sister did this for me on an 80's hen night. When it was just applied normally it didn't look 80's enough.

Go and get some Barry M powder eyeshadows, Superdrug has it and I think Boots does too. They have the most wonderful bright sparkly colours! They're not too pricy either.
