Come and tell me about your Hairdressing habits please....

So, dh thinks I visit the Hairdressers far too much. I, on the other hand, think I'm about average.

Every 6 weeks, trim, colour (it's red so fades quickly) and blow dry, total cost £70.

How about everyone else?
How often?
What do you have done?
And, (bit cheeky), how much do you pay?

Oh, and what else do you get done on a regular basis? (facial/manicure/spray tan etc)

Well, I'm probably not the best example, but here you are anyway..

I visit the hairdresser once every three months or so. I would go more often but I keep forgetting. I pay £40 and that's just a cut and blowdry.

I don't get anything else done on a regular basis tbh, but I do have a massage about three times a year.(£35 a go)

BUT- I'm a member of a gym, so that would easily outweigh the cost of your hairdressing bills!

Every 6 weeks for me

went yesterday - cut and blow £24

6 weeks time - cut/blow and will have half a head of highlights eg parting roots etc - £45

6 weeks after - cut and blow £24

6 weeks after that will have cut/blow and full head of highlights - £64

and then the cycle begins all over again.

I do my own manicures, pedicures.

Never had a spray tan, but do like a facial now and again - last one was £50.

I go every 6 weeks to get my short bob cut. Semi-permanent colour as well every second appointment.
Colour, cut & blow dry is about £85.
Just the cut & blow dry £60.

I do my own mani, pedi, hair removal etc. so I don't mind spending on my hair.

I visit the hairdressers once every 3 or 4 months - can't seem to get round to it more often than that. Cost averages around £40.

Keep thinking about getting it coloured - just haven't got round to it.

Don't have anything else done regularly.

DH has his hair cut at least every 6 weeks - costs him £10

Every 3 months here (I have long hair). I go every 4 weeks or so to get my fringe trimmed (for free).

When I go, I get my highlights and lowlights redone/retouched (they are various shades and don't really show when they are growing out).

I always ask my hairdresser when I should come back and he says 3 mths (for the colour, doesn't seem to think I need to inbetween).

Just looked at my cheque book and I paid 89 euros last time I went (colour, conditioning treatment, cut & blow-dry by the salon owner).

Every 4th visit I also get my highlights done (costs £60)

Hairdresser is the old boss of the salon I used to use who set up on his own. Its half the price I used to pay (except I have to make my own tea)

Used to have monthly facials (pre dc's) have reduced that to an annual girly weekend at a spa hotel (my christmas present from dh)where I have the full works (massage/facial/mani/pedi) (unsure of cost but I suspect its quite a lot) and do my own maintence at home.

I go to the gym 3 x a week

I don't like spray tans (I use the dove gradual tanner which keeps me from looking blue)

i cut my own hair or MIL does (when i remember) £0

colour it at home around every 3 months

cost £6.99 (box of home hair colourant)

I think you can probably get away with leaving long hair a bit longer between trims, my short layered bob seems to get out of shape really quickly.

Think I will stick with my 6 weekly visits. Dh is bald anyhow, so I'll tell him I'm using his hairdressing allowance next time he moans
