anyone? not even to judgeth me?

do you thikn matalan/dotty p/ next would have black leggings in stock?

OP posts:
MamaG · 09/06/2009 14:22

Yes I think Next will. Poss Dotty. No clue re matalan.

I'd go for wedges every time, as IMO leggings and flats make your legs look like black golf clubs.

(and a little too - I have some but I only wear them around teh house *disclaimer)

Unicornvomit · 09/06/2009 14:27

ah, thank you mamag!!

Peacocks have them - twin packs - they were too short for giraffe like DD1 so they might be OK!

CMOTdibbler · 09/06/2009 15:10

M&S have some nice 3/4 length ones in Autograph that would work with wedges

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 09/06/2009 15:44

oh but steer clear of calf length if you are remotely cankle-like in the leg department.

Top Shop and Next both have full length leggings in store.

I think flats are fine - wear whichever shoes you feel most comfortable in as you may well be self-conscious wearing leggings for the first time.

Sunshinemummy · 09/06/2009 15:52

Uniqlo have great leggings in loads of funky colours (as well as black).

I'd go for the wedges.

NorkyButNice · 09/06/2009 15:55

I bought some from Oasis last week, they are good lengthwise on me but I am 5'9" so it depends how tall you are!

Unicornvomit · 09/06/2009 16:06

thank you all very much !!

i am 5 ft 2, which i think is why the ones i got were so long on me!! have stumpy wee legs

on the cankle department, i am actually fine ! have quite decent ankles and calves. it is what happens above the knee that is the problem !

I got a very nice pair of black leggings from Asda

bishboschone · 09/06/2009 17:16

Just turn them up inside at the bottom..i am your height thats what I do tis fine..wear flats!

Unicornvomit · 09/06/2009 18:17

thank you, will check asda too

contemplated turning them up but worried they would fall down or look odd!

EccentricaGallumbits · 09/06/2009 18:20

matalan have an assortment of different leggings even in a size 24 which is planely just wrong IMO

bishboschone · 09/06/2009 18:50

nah just tuck the extra inside

Unicornvomit · 09/06/2009 19:07

hmm. am not a slim young thing, electra.

but i do have Decent Legs and a dress that covers a multitude of sins.

so off to matalan we go !

i won;t be buying wet look leggins though, that much i can assure you

cocolepew · 09/06/2009 19:42

Wedges, Asda's leggings are mid calf (sp) on me (5'5"). They are £5 and really good, keep their shape brillantly.

Unicornvomit · 09/06/2009 19:47

thakn you.

i am sure i will be able to get sorted with a pair by friday now

much appreciated all xxxxx

OP posts:
Feelingoptimistic · 09/06/2009 22:21

Unicornvomit · 10/06/2009 12:44

good old matalan came up trumps!! £5 and they are the right length.. brill! all sorted now. thanks again everyone x

nancy75 · 10/06/2009 12:46

where did you get the ones that are too long? i want leggins that go past my ankle and can only find shorter ones - typical

Unicornvomit · 10/06/2009 13:24

simplybe.co.uk

also, in matalan today they had the ski pant type... so they would cover your ankle

also dorothy perkins online had longer length ones
