Nail varnish that can survive doing the washing up?

There's no room in our flat for a dishwasher, so don't think that's the answer!

I'm fed up with buying pretty-but-cheap (y'know, Rimmel or 17) nail varnish only for it to chip within a day. I want some hardcore gorwnup nail varnish. And luckily I have some birthday money so can afford some.

Suggestions of a couple of essential colours would be nice too.

Thanks

I looked in Boots today and the Rimmel Pro section was very depleted - does that mean it's popular? Going to teh shopping centre tomorrow so will check out the other Boots to see if they have any good colours.

Bought some Rimmel Pro yesterday, put it on over a basecoat of my Sally Hansen 'hard as nails' stuff. Will let you know how it goes (if anyone is still reading)

and if you put handcream on before you put your marigolds on and then wash up in hot water when youv'e done you will have manicure soft hands [am a beauty therapist]
also you should really use a base and a top coat and you don't have to wait for each layer to dry just bas each hand ,than do 1st coat on each hand ,then second coat on each hand then top coat on each hand and bravo your'e done.
also keep your polsihes in the fridge makes em last longer and dry quicker on your nails.
