Hair feels like straw

My hair is usually quite frizzy anyway and needs either straightened or tied back in a messy bun.

But it feels like straw today - have washed it and dried it in the usual way. I dont usually dry it all the time, often I let it dry itself as its pretty thin, so its not constant heat from hairdryer every day.

Could it be the sun? If so what can I use? Had a big knot in it this morning too.

put olive oil on it while dry, and leave for as long as possible (eg hours) then shampoo off with baby shampoo.

What shampoo/ conditioner/ products do you use?

giraffesCantRunA10k · 02/06/2009 13:59

Head&shoulders and alberto balsam shampoo. Then bumble&bumble hair thickner stuff.

Maybe you are using too much?

If your hair is saturated then it can't produce oil.

I use Aussie Miracle moist shampoo (a tiny amount) and only use conditioner every other day, then do the 3 minute miracle mask every fortnight. No styling products. It's really sorted out my hair.

I think mixing 'brands' is a bad idea too, they can have clashing chemicals in them.
