  1. it doesnt matter what shape you are - as long as your swimwear FITS you who cares?
  2. please do not recycle swimwear from 10 years ago - it looks old and terrible
  3. COLOUR and CONFIDENCE are the name of the game - there was every shape and age of body there in the world and they all had a FUN TIME

4, string bikinis do not suit anyone over 20

Blimey COLOUR you say, I was just about to buy a new black one.

I'm large on top so was looking at Bravissimo, it comes in black, marine, caribbean blue and spanish red. I was going to buy black but now you've made me think I should get the red. But I'm so pale and always will be so I don't know.

was at beach with larger friend today, she looked fab in a costume (but it was one of those restraining ribbed type ones) bikini would not have been good.

but yes I agree nobody cares how anybody else looks really and a well placed sarong works wonders

anyhow for the last two days they has been a japaniese family on the beach dad in a full SUIT and tie up black leather shoes which he didn't take off all day. Also they had no towels or seats or anything just spent the day leaning against the wall when they wanted a rest, bizarro or what?

I DID THINK THAT A STRAPLESS ALL IN ONE swimsuit looked nice ona pg lady
she wa v pretty anyway and had red shorts on over it

very nice

even the HUGELY FAT rough looking woman looked nice in a " playsuit" apart from the fact it was white

Will be wearing a costume
Plus big shades and possibly big hat
Book to read
Shorts and loose tops to frolic in (not topless frisbee playing anymore)

Haven't been to the beach for years, usually get bored but am hoping for fab weather all summer long , meaning normal UK holiday will be spent relaxing at beach rather than visiting Seal Sancturies etc

the playsuit sounds horrendous tbh

currently in shorts with a bravissimo red bikini top (so well structured). Bump looks bumpish and not just bellyish.

Fascinated by people with strapless though.

DH would get on with the Jap man. On the few days we can drag him to the beach he tends to wear jeans, t-shirt and keeps his shoes on

DarrellRivers · 31/05/2009 18:26

AS in bigger amount of fabric at the front?

Report
Grattage · 31/05/2009 18:26

that sounds nice.

Rule number 4 - what exactly do you mean by 'string bikini'? I think I disagree. The two-triangles and some string' bikini tops are fine if you have small norks (as I do).

I agree with most said here but this:

"i was in the water

delicious
on my John lewis beach chair"

is poncetastic. No?

If you need structured Bravissimo type swimwear, it's often a fraction of the price on eBay - Panache, Freya, Fantasie etc

But they ARE looking. We all looked.

Agree they're not thinking 'she looks awful' they are thinking, 'isn't this democratic, everyone confident with their totally shot to pieces unattractive bodies, that's so nice that they don't care, how liberating.'

so you need to okay with that. I'm not quite there yet.

pennies. I liked her beach chair branding personally.
