I'm nearly 35 and still havent found the right foundation.
Fed up of spending a fortune in teh meantime.

I have skin that gets agreasy t zone over the course of the day. Chanel vit doesnt do it, lily lobo - cakey, cant have the matt chanel one as not light enough, clinique feels too heavy.
Anyone recommend one for around a tenner?

the no 7 one ? protecty andperfect
go into the stores, say"i keep buying the wron one, put some on me an wil come back tomorrow"

then do that

millenniumfalcon · 30/05/2009 17:38

have you tried using a pre-base? i've never used foundation, but i do use ruby & millie pre-base which has no colour but takes all the shine off, then concealer and powder. maybe the prebase plus a light foundation/tinted moisturiser would do it?

hercules1 · 30/05/2009 17:40

I've just started to get no7 stuff so would be worth a trip there. How much is the ruby and millie prebase?

Barbara Daly for Tesco oil free foundation is great, I gave up Chanel for it, and it's only a fiver

xtc · 30/05/2009 18:07

i use the tesco one too, bung it on with moisturiser

lou33 · 30/05/2009 18:08

what about a powder based foundation?

MarthaFarquhar · 30/05/2009 18:10

I have horrid half dry, half oily, fair skin.
Benefit non-fiction is great.

pippo · 30/05/2009 18:11

if you have used lily lolo did you spray your made up skin (pre mascara) with water? Makes a huge difference, you can buy special spray but imagine tap water would do as well. If yo haven't done this with LL it might be worth going back to it for a try....

lou33 · 30/05/2009 18:17

i like benefit stuff, their hello flawless powder and you rebel tinted moisturiser, and erase paste are brilliant

mrsmaidamess · 30/05/2009 18:46

I have found no 7 mineral foundation to be veh good. Makes you look dead healthy.

GeneHuntsMistress · 30/05/2009 22:42

Chanel MATT Lumiere is def what you are looking for!

GeneHuntsMistress · 30/05/2009 22:44

ooops sorry, juts read your original post and see that you have tried this already

would suggest then as others hae advised, a base - No 7 do a matt base you put under your foundation i'd try that?

cocolepew · 30/05/2009 22:45

Avon do a pre-base too, I think they do a tinted one now. It has a lovely feel to it. Maybelline Liquid Mineral foundation is lovely.

Hi I’m wondering if anyone can help me!! Who were rebel tinted moisturiser lovers!! 🙏 I read on here before about the rebel dark tinted moisturiser which got discontinued 😢 and I’m trying to find a replacement!
