Don't get the Trinny and Susannah Magic Knickers. They cost a fortune and they don't hold you belly in. Waste of money.

mrsmaidamess · 30/05/2009 14:32

Well I rate the ones they sell in Matalan. Only a tenner, come up to boobs and end mid thigh. All your bases covered. (FWIW you did only have the baby 10 weeks ago...)

I second not getting the Trinny and Susannah ones - I have a ten week old too and got them to wear under a dress for a wedding when she was 7 weeks.

Somehow they made my stomach look like a second arse at the front. I actually looked thinner without them.

Complete waste of money IMO. I have heard good reports on Spanx but haven't tried them myself.

I love my Trinny and Susannahs and haven't had the big belly problem with them. But I agree that they are pricey.

freyaandfred · 30/05/2009 19:29

Yes, I love the Trinny and Susannah ones too although they are obviously hell to get on and off but I suppose that goes with the territory.I only wear them for special occasions for that reason, but atleast they have a little slit so you can go to the loo - or is that too much information from a newcomer?!{shock}

LyraSilvertongue · 30/05/2009 19:59

Freyaandfred, mine don't have a slit. Maybe you've got a newer (and better) version.

uberalice · 31/05/2009 21:35

No slit in mine either, unless I've just not noticed. I don't think I fancy peeing through a slit anyway.
