I really hate ballet pumps - hate the flat-footed flipper look they give. Please can someone find an alternative flat shoe for summer?

I need some flat shoes for wearing with slim/skinny jeans so mustn't make my feet look huge.

Like mary jane type things - anyone seen any pretty ones?

Thanks

How about some little pump things? Will try to find example.

I ordered these which came today - they are absolutely lovely but unfortunately too big for me so I shall have to return them.

They're not bulky but might not be 'slim' enough for you?

JohnnyTwoHats · 29/05/2009 12:52

this sort of style?

JohnnyTwoHats · 29/05/2009 12:54

less weird colours

Tinker · 29/05/2009 12:55

Hmm, sidge, cross between nice and not nice. Sort of Camperish though, which I like.

JTH - yes, they're cute

I'm 44 though so not sure whether I should be going for "cute"

I don't like flat shoes with slim jeans . I think they always give a golf club leg look.

TsarChasm · 29/05/2009 12:57

I bought some Skechers the other day which I'm hoping will look ok with jeans.

random · 29/05/2009 12:58

these?

mrsmaidamess · 29/05/2009 12:59

these I have, and they do look great with skinnies as there is enough skin on show and not too much shoe

Tinker · 29/05/2009 14:08

Yes, do not like the golf club leg at all but need to be flattish for walking surely? Not mad on the gladiator sandal thing going on atm but those Monsoon ones aren't bad - not my colour though. Also, need shoes not sandals since for work sometimes.

random - hmm, a bit too much like waht my 12 year old would like. Am fussy. Actually, I'm not, know what I like but no-one's making it.

Have you looked at Clarks or Hush Puppies? I've seen some nice flat shoes with both of them this summer. Bit pricey, but they look good

Tinker · 29/05/2009 14:17

Yes, Clark's and HPs are more in line with what I like But they seem to have a big visible at the side sole. Might just have to live with taht I think.
