If someone gave you a hundred pounds to spend on a treat what you you buy?

My aunt gave me an unexpected late birthday present, but I can't decide what to do with it!

I'm a bit of a shopaholic, so not exactly lacking in the clothes/shoes/accessories department

What would you treat yourself to?

jewellery- and it doesn't take up much room in your wardrobe either!

blametheparents · 28/05/2009 20:06

I would get a pair of converse, would really like a pair this summer.
then would get something nice for summer, maybe from White Stuff.
Might also get some noce underwear, well fitted bra from somewhere posh!

Or along those lines.

You have a very nice auntie!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 28/05/2009 20:07

Books, until I have lost enough weight to buy some nice clothes

harleyd · 28/05/2009 20:08

i would get something pierced
and have a great nite out with the rest

macherie · 28/05/2009 20:08

Good idea, eachpeach, do you have a favourite designer/shop for jewels?

a massage and some pretty underwear (as I have none )

EachPeachPearMum · 28/05/2009 20:22

I do.... Baccarat
What do you like- silver or gold?
I find there is often nicer stuff in small independent shops (don't know whereabouts you are...)
I like Kit Heath too (silver)

macherie · 28/05/2009 20:23

Liking the idea of pretty underwear

Every time I go near house of fraser i go into the prefume dept for a spray of this - it's lovely, but a bit expensive, maybe now's my chance!

Also have had my eye on this for a while, but have been waiting for the sale!

I would buy a good book , new (matching)cups,plates....

macherie · 28/05/2009 20:26

Sadly I've gone off silver, rather prefer gold these days - got this for christmas and love it

BANANA PLANTS

mine all died in the frost

janeite · 28/05/2009 20:27

I would really like a silver necklace shaped like a peapod and a dress length (but built for little people)black or grey silk slip. However, I have failed to find either of those so I would buy:
this
and
this although I haven't seen either irl.

expatinscotland · 28/05/2009 20:27

a baby back carrier

janeite · 28/05/2009 20:28

if you like All Saints, I love this

MrsTittleMouse · 28/05/2009 20:31

If I wasn't breastfeeding I'd spend it on lovely underwear. As I am, I would probably spend it on either being completely pampered for a day in a spa, or on a fantastic evening out with DH.

MamaHobgoblin · 28/05/2009 20:52

I'd buy the perfect summer dress - something fitted to my bust with a high band just below, and then loose. Preferably something that wouldn't make me look pregnant!

Janeite - what about this? Or this - wire-wrapped, not solid silver. Or this one is bright white silver. Or personalise it?

And this one just makes me laugh!

pavlovthecat · 28/05/2009 20:54

I would buy an Isabella Oliver maternity dress.

macherie · 28/05/2009 22:22

Thanks for all those ideas, might be super-sensible and wait for sales, and get more for my treat money

MamaH - oh my goodness, you are fantastic! How does Etsy work then?

SamVimesIsMyHero · 30/05/2009 08:39

Janeite - I can make you one like the first etsy one if that's the sort of thing you wanted. Could be in any colour pearls.

SamVimesIsMyHero · 30/05/2009 08:41

Oh no, I meant the second wire wrapped one! Not the first one...oops

MrsMcCluskey · 30/05/2009 08:47

I would go for a spa day and be pampered - priceless!

SamVimesIsMyHero · 30/05/2009 08:49

Oh and in answer to the OP I would book a personal shopper at John Lewis and say 'find me a casual summer dress aka school run dress'
