I saw India Hicks in a magazine a while back looking great in cutoffs with her kiddies frolicking around. Personally I feel I grew out of them (did them to death in my 20's), but I think they can work depending on your style.

I really like the denim shorts with black leggings look but am way too old. I have good legs but they're all veiny and horrible now - I think as long as you don't have that issue then you don't need to be a teenager.

To be honest i think a denim mini-skirt is more comfy and would look better on the beach.

As long as its just for the beach and you're not going to go all daisy duke around the shops

Legs are passable, so I can get away with them I reckon.

I saw a woman in some fab ones the other day. They were those flat fronted, 1940's Sailor type ones.
She had fab legs and was about 45, she looked great.
