Last year for two weeks in Greece I took:
three pairs of shorts
2 bikinis (with big pants!)
a couple of little beach dresses
about seven vest tops
a couple of light silk or cotton dresses/skirts for evenings and a couple of silk camisoles
one light cardigan
flip flops
comfortable sandals
a selection of necklaces and bangles
some handwash liquid
about ten pairs of knickers

Honestly - there will be loads of people who look WAY worse than you will! have fun.

If you're like me you'll pack and unpack your case about a million times and still take wads of stuff 'just incase' that you won't even wear

Janeites suitcase sounds excellent!

Enjoy the Canaries!

I always try to put out everything I want to take ..........then half it but alas I do always add a few 'just incase' bits at last moment .

Theres some nice one pieces about, but i'm sure you will see women in bikinis that look way worse than you, could you just not wear a wear top over the bikini and only take it off when you are lying down?

I like to be fairly covered, usually get heat rash so need clothing to cover it. I would take linen trousers in white and black, sparkly flat sandals, cheap flip flops and some canvas pumps, you could take wedges aswell but as we tend to walk futher i prefer flats. Various vests/tops/ long sleeved cotton kaftan, scarf, necklace, bangles. one pair of shorts and one skirt, usually travel in jeans and cardi.

Take stuff that you have worn before and are comfy in, especially shoes. Last year i bought loads of clothes for our hol, stuff i don't normally wear like lots of dresses and i felt quite uncomfortable spent most of the time in my linen trousers. i never took any jeans and i regretted it as some days were quite cold and it rained lots and i only had flip flops. Always take an umbrella no matter how hot you think it will be. I normally only take a couple of pairs of pants and bras and wash every thing each night. I'd rather take a few things that look good, fit well and i love, rather than loads of different outfits, you can always use different accessories so it looks at little different. I have a friend that plans her outfit for each day something for day and something for the evening and takes loads of different bikinis. She doesn't have kids though. We had to travel light last year and i still didn't wear it all so i know for next time i can do it even lighter. I've also made a note of whats things i didn't wear last time and the things i did and what i wished i had taken, so next time i pack it will remind me. Have a fab hol.
