I have received as a gift a LUSH pack containing

  • Ice Blue
  • Ocean Salt
  • Bohemian
  • Up You Gets
  • Too Drunk
  • Each Peach
  • Happy Hippy
  • Rub Rub Rub
  • Whoosh
  • Karma Soap
  • Olive Branch
External packaging all unopened (above simply the list on the outside of the box) All made not earlier than March 2009. What can I do?? They don't take returns and I cannot use the products as they irritate my skin.

They irritate my skin too. My dad might be interested though (the big girl), how much do you want for them?

MrsMcCluskey · 26/05/2009 22:06

Ebay it
Donate as a rafflw prize
Save it and give to a friend as a birthday present....
need we go on?

littlelamb · 26/05/2009 22:06

Put them in drawers to make the clothes smell nice

ravenAK · 26/05/2009 22:07

Seriously, look on website for name of gift pack. Knock maybe 25% off list price. Sell to someone on here. Buy nice gift for self with proceeds.

Job's a good 'un.

littlelamb · 26/05/2009 22:08

And incidentally, if anyone has any of the (discontinued!!! how dare they) Haagen Bath ballistics hanging around pleeeeease send them this way

bubbles11 · 26/05/2009 22:09

Would like to sell it but the box seems too big to me to be able to post it on and i don't know how much it is worth anyway.... although I have looked on the website and the prices all vary per product so it must have been put together by the sender herself and I cannot estimate what it might be worth. I have simply read off the label on the top of the box

Where abouts are you? If you wanted to ebay it you could just put it as collect only.

If you are near me I will collect

ravenAK · 26/05/2009 22:13

The box will be full of popcorn or shredded copies of Lush Times, so you can transfer the products into a shoebox to post on.

I'd probably start it on eBay at £30.

Or do as others have suggested & use individual products as gifts for next year or so.

lisad123 · 26/05/2009 22:14

oh i love lush stuff. I can recommend a courier that charge £8.99

PortAndLemon · 26/05/2009 22:16

Whereabouts are you? There will be a sufficiently big queue of MNers that someone is bound to be local to you.

bubbles11 · 26/05/2009 22:17

Raven thanks, when you say £30 is that something I can just check roughly using the lush website? I am not looking for exact prices just a ballpark idea as to how much it is worth. I cannot think of anyone in my circle of family / friends who might want it but I havent expressly asked any of them yet. As for raffles / charity most of the ones I might donate to involve participants who are quite a bit older and I imagine (perhaps wrongly) that this is not the kind of prize they would want...

I live in oxfordshire but am not an experienced ebay seller etc so that was not my first choice of solution...

ravenAK · 26/05/2009 22:24

I'm guessing!

I'd imagine it cost about £40-50, depending on the size of the pots iyswim.

Tbh looking on ebay Lush stuff does seem to be going cheaper than that, but often free samples etc - so maybe start a bit lower.

Your best bet is probably someone on here.

KingCanuteIAm · 26/05/2009 22:26

Well I am nowhere near you but someone will be, why not advertise on the for sale board?

simplesusan · 27/05/2009 11:37

Oh I love lush too, but alas do not live in your neck of the woods. I think I would seperate and hand out to teachers/assistants at school for end of year. Failing that donate for school fayre or similar-you will look very good compared to those handing over tins of out of date fruit or cheap imported wine

bubbles11 · 28/05/2009 09:20

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I think I won't be able to sell it by the look of it so I probably will end up giving it away as a gift.
