aha, I hear a request for a frock enabler!!!

what's your lifestyle like? Great thing about maxis is that they are ideal day to night wear ... bad thing about asymmetric is that they are 99.9% evening.

so... that dress'd be god for dinner, evening summer barbecues, garden gatherings, even pub (why the hell not, eh) But not a great dress for day.

If you like purple then what you need (unless you are out a lot of an evening) is something along these lines

LetThemEatCake · 25/05/2009 19:39

good, not god. Obviously. Unless you really love it

TrillianAstra · 25/05/2009 19:48

Oooh, cheap dresses online. The frock enabler threads are always way too expensive for me.

I'm going away with hubby for weekend for anniversary soon. There is a ceilidh each night at the hotel. ThaT should be a good enough reason

I do have lots of dresses though

I think I'm a shopaholic.

oh god, fabulous then. Buy it. Wear it with metallic flat gladiators and one long metallic earring (on the side of your body with the thin strap - just a stud in the other ear) Stack bangles up your arm. Have a wonderful time.

macherie · 26/05/2009 10:38

That is a gerat dress and so cheap - buy it now!

mrsmaidamess · 26/05/2009 10:40

ISn't that dress a little dressy for a ceilidh?(sp)

macherie · 26/05/2009 11:00

God, no mrsm, we were away at easter, in Clare, west or Irl, there was a ceile on on easter sun and it was all fake tan, highlights, manis/pedis the works!

You could always dress it down with a cardigan or denim jacket.

LetThemEatCake · 26/05/2009 11:25

what IS a celly-thingy exactly?

mrsmaidamess · 26/05/2009 11:26

A barn dance with fiddles

LetThemEatCake · 26/05/2009 11:33

are you sure you;re not playing it down in your usual low-key, deadpan way mrsm?

mrsmaidamess · 26/05/2009 11:35

No, it really is a barn dance. Mind you the ones I have been to have been organinsed by MIL's Morris dancing brigade so the hairy chin and beer belly count was quite high. And that was just the women.
