Can you help me wean my husband off Lynx?

Generally he hasn't ever worn smellies, but I love aftershave, and was very happy when he finally started using a random bottle of lynx at the back of hte cupboard... until he actually went out and bought some!!

So, given that I can safely say he now is not worried about his masculinity being compromised by scent, can you recommend something to me which is a kind of all over job I can buy him.. I suppose that would be eau de toilette rather than after shave if I think about it. But something a grown up Lynx wearer might wear!

Does that make any sense????

i like paco rabanne, but that's prolly only marginally less naff than lynx

I'll go give some a sniff - have no idea what it smells like, but do remember it being very important when I was a teenager, which probably isn't the best sign! But maybe it will make me feel younger to smell it around?

Can you persuade him to use an aftershave / eau de toilette in the same way a woman would use a perfume - on his wrists and neck? More economical than an all over spray. I like Paul Smith.

mmm, I think he likes the idea that it's keeping more of his skin "fresh" iyswim, and given that this is all a bit poncey for him anyway, I might not use the expression "the same way a woman would use perfume" .

It has to be functional rather just smell nice I suppose.

I have to say my main issue at the moment is that if he uses it in the morning when leaving very early, the smell wakes up both DS and me - not funny!

That's the famous 'Lynx effect' jackaroo .

curious that they don't have an advert with a heavily pg. woman yelling "what the fck did you do that for????"

not the right message perhaps?
