Would look awful on me, TBH, but that might be more to do with me than the dress.

Boco · 22/05/2009 15:03

Jane Norman material always looks a bit rubbish, like it'd make you sweat a lot, or possibly catch fire. That puts me off.

LadyOfWaffle · 22/05/2009 15:03

On the right person, yes. You would look great in it

JRocks · 22/05/2009 15:08

Agree with Boco, some of the material they use for Jane Norman stuff is so synthetic I think I'd catch fire if someone brushed past me That said, I have a gorgeous black dress from there so they do have good fabric too! I think it's nice, as long as not in the manner of a WAG, with blonde extensions, permatan and pink accessories

noddyholder · 22/05/2009 15:10

No sorry it looks very dated and a bit cheap

BunnyLebowski · 23/05/2009 06:01

Looks like something Liz McDonald would wear for a hot date with Lloyd.

To clarify......cheap, tacky and very possibly highly flammable.

sophieandbelly · 23/05/2009 06:16

might be ok on the right person, i would say if ur older than 27 ish and over size 12 dont bother !

bunnymother · 23/05/2009 06:30

Not especially, its a difficult dress to carry off. Agree w the others that it has the potential to look cheap, so keeping the rest of the look fresh and natural is important.

cornsilk · 23/05/2009 07:41

I like it.

Clure · 23/05/2009 18:08

No I don't like it, the pattern is way too busy and a sickly colour. Sorry

Liz McDonald is dating Lloyd?! (Haven't watched Corrie in years).

From the picture I'd say "on the right person" but agree that IRL it's probably a fire risk.

BibiThree · 23/05/2009 18:12

I think it could go either way, depending on how you year it. Personally, I like it, with groomed hair, nice shoes and not too many accessories, fab.

lljkk · 23/05/2009 18:14

I like the look but a lot depends what the fabric is like in person -- I'm not sure about viscose.

MIAonline · 23/05/2009 18:39

Like the shape, but not the pattern. Though would probably look better on.

Am so hoping that you are not going to come back and say you have just bought it after all this feedback

Tortington · 23/05/2009 18:43

no

janeite · 23/05/2009 18:44

No - sorry.

TheFallenMadonna · 23/05/2009 18:47

No. It's trying too hard.

yama · 23/05/2009 18:52

On the right person - yes. Think you'd have to have dark hair... (rules me out).

ohdearwhatamess · 23/05/2009 19:02

No. Sorry.

OrmIrian · 23/05/2009 19:04

If I was skinny with big tits and lot of lovely dark hair I might. But as it is no.

FigmentOfYourImagination · 23/05/2009 19:07

No I don't like that dress.

It just confirms my previous thoughts on Jane Norman being tacky

KnickKnack · 23/05/2009 19:12

Nope don't like it either.

I'm torn between:
cheap, tacky, don't sit too close to fire

and
something a 50yr old woman trying to look 25 might wear, mutton dress as. I picture her with dark tan and bleached hair do too
