gosh you are seriously hot! norks should be presented nicely at wedding so cleavage but not plunging. what is your waist like?

runawayquickly · 21/05/2009 19:45

You look amazing - bloody hell. I am 5' 11'' and about a 22 and I look a hell of a lot worse...you have youth on your side. So I also go through the 'I'm huge, have nothing to wear, everything's too short' thing.

What do you mean nothing looks good on you? Are there styles/shapes that DO?

Looking for shop suggestions or new ideas for something you wouldn't normally wear?

Give us a few more clues...

castlesintheair · 21/05/2009 19:45

MarthaFarquhar · 21/05/2009 19:46

i am thinking 50's stylee sex siren

castlesintheair · 21/05/2009 19:49

same dress, different site, better model imo

Mamazon · 21/05/2009 19:49

I go in and out at the right places but i have a belly. (and a fat backside!)

i have this idea of a lovely long floaty maxi dress but everything is either too short or makes me look pregnant.
plus im finding the tops are a bit too small so my boobs spill out.

Im normally a trousers and top, smart casual kinda girl so i'd like to use the excuse to dress up.

all idea's gratefully recieved.

what about this maxi dress? I think shorter and more fitted would suit you better though.

Mamazon · 21/05/2009 19:52

i wish i could pull off a 50's style siren!

like the green dress. the stripes is nice but do you think it might make me look a bit old?

I always feel a bit more 'secure' in black with a bit of colour - don't know about you. think this would be fab with a shrug - also a bargain!

reducedfatkettlechip · 21/05/2009 19:53

You are gorgeous. Jealous of your perfectly clear skin!

Agree on the 50's look. Do you have a fairly hourglass figure? What about a simple fitted top and floaty A line skirt or a wrap style dress with a light cardigan top. Will look for links.

Mamazon · 21/05/2009 19:53

that dress is nice. is black ok for a wedding?

the only problem i have with a shorter dress is that i have quite chunky calves

madwomanintheattic · 21/05/2009 19:53

largeish norks?

i like the stripy suggestion you have the presence not to be overwhelmed by it...

are you doing a hat thing?

MarthaFarquhar · 21/05/2009 19:54

maxi?

castlesintheair · 21/05/2009 19:55

If you are talking about the black maxi dress I linked to, they do it in black with white polka dots which is the one I liked and I think would be great for a wedding.

Mamazon · 21/05/2009 19:56

ooh i love that littlewoods one. is it formal enough?

i would love a hat but would have to find an outfit that works with one.

Or go for something like this with floaty, wide trousers and sandals. Would really suit your colouring

MarthaFarquhar · 21/05/2009 19:59

navy wrap

MarthaFarquhar · 21/05/2009 19:59

no to kaftan, yes to cleavage.

Neena28 · 21/05/2009 20:01

I am quite impressively drunk this evening but am very excited that you have a son and daughter same age as mine and you are the same age as me!!

I should not drink alone on mumsnet i think?!

But you are gorgeous and have amazing hair.

IwoulddoDrWho · 21/05/2009 20:15

Oh hallo Goat. I was just thinking of you today while reading Dr Seuss and thinking I haven't seen you around for a while, and how funny your name is.

CouldYouWouldYouWithaGoat · 21/05/2009 21:54

kickassangel · 22/05/2009 03:56

nice top, with white wide leg linen trousers?

dresses

depends if you fit a bravissimo size 18 or not, but with your colouring, some of the purple or 'teal' dresses could look fab.
